Tulip dress sketch: The perks of being a frustrated artist

Hola! I've been trying to internalize if I should post my sketches here in my blog. Sadly I don't have my baby with me that's why I can't take photos with good quality. D': You may comment if this design is lame or if you liked it. Haha :)) Seriously, I kinda have a bunch of sketches in my sketch pad and I'm not confident to post any of those. I just imagined how a tulip looks like and the dress just turned out like this. I want the dress to be fit so that  anyone who'd be wearing it would show her figure. I've also sketched a cupcake inspired dress of which I will be posting pretty soon after I got my camera at our home. The reason I've been in love with fashion designing is that I want my friends to wear the dress I've designed in their special day (preferably their wedding. Hihi) and I also want to make them happy on that day.

Honestly, I don't really know what I wanted to be. Being a fashion designer is one of my frustrations (not dreams). I think it's something I really wanted but not something I really needed. And I do really know that sketching is not my gift. My plans after college is to have a boutique of which will sell the dresses I've designed. And I want to use malong and kimono as a prior material to make my clothing. I want to make the business I'm planning to have to be a livelihood program for mothers who were not able to go to school and whose work is a housewife. I want them to earn and raise young blood entrepreneurs here in the Philippines. I really loved how malong and kimono's prints were designed. The materials are so comfy and the look will make you simple yet classy.

It would be like 7 months from now before I will graduate in College. There's no pressure but I'm just confused if I'm going to study again or start working. Honestly I have a list of things I really wanted to learn ever since I started my life in college. These are the things I often forgot yet I'm trying my best to study or learn it one step at a time. There's a lot of things I wanted to do like learning the piano of which I've started already last year but had to stop to meet the deadlines of our thesis )): I mean, it's really a sacrifice for me. I had to give up almost everything that I love to do in order to cope up with the lessons and finish college. Still, ALL IZZ WELL. God knows the hard work I've been doing and I simply trust Him.

So there, I hope you guys could share your frustrations/dreams too! Let's do this! ALL IZZ WELL :]

Quick post: Candy Pop!

Here's some candy pop for you ladies! :))) I just thought of mixing old and new stuffs in my closet. It was an outfit I wore last summer. And I only had a chance to post it today. Gaaaaaddd. I'm missing a lot of things to post already. Since Mom and Dad is not around I would be more active in blogging now since I don't have anyone to brag my hang ups with. Huhu. Chos! But I'm happy that everyone is doing good and all of you are safe :)))

Outfit details: SM accesories, Mario D' Boro shoes, DIY strawberry shorts from Love PreLoved Shoppe
Top is from mom's closet :)

I'll be posting about my frustrations for my next consecutive posts :))) Hihihi. I'm having a problem what to wear for my creative shot in our grad pic. So there, if you have suggestions. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME! :"> Hihi.

BOLD AND CONFIDENT

Just a quick post:
This is what I wore the other day. BOW. kiddin'

I'm not used to in showing more skin in my posts but for the irony of this look I wore the top I've bought from Love PreLoved Shoppe. Umo-off shoulder ang peg, ika nga. I've changed the moodboard of my closet already to somewhat fancy princess-ish style yet I can't let go of this minimalist vibe I've always had in my heart.
BLACK & WHITE, that's where I started being a fashion enthusiast. I love how these colors describe me as a person. I can be sometimes a black or a white. What you see is what you get. When I get mad, I get really mad and when I'm happy you can't stop me from laughing so hard and I don't care anymore whether someone can see my larynx already from afar. HAHAHA. As if my larynx can be seen :p

Outfit details: Top-Love PreLoved Shoppe, JL shades, Skirt- Aunt's treasures, Bowtie that was used as a bracelet from MIA Ribbon House, Shoes- Gibi

Watch out for my DIYs! I will turn my polos into tops like I'm wearing in this photo so stay tuned!
I'm now working out my creative juices! YEY!!! I'M BACK ;)

I missed blogging :]

Stay safe ladies! Let's all #prayforthephilippines

From Baguio with LOVE

Hola chicas! I'm back and fresh from Baguio! Heehee. I had my 4 days vacation with my sister-in-law and niece. We came to visit my parents because they are currently students of YWAM (Youth With A Mission) Baguio. My lovely parents entering bible school makes me very very proud of them! At last! My sister-in -law Kerlyn is also planning to study YWAM some time next January. I hope I can enter too after I graduated! :)) Well, there's a lot of amazing things that happened in that 4 days of staying in Baguio.
All praises to the Lord! He always makes me pa-KILIG. <3 Will tell you more about God's provision in my next posts!

&&&&&&&&&&

By the way, my sister-in-law Kerlyn and I had 6 hours for our ukay-ukay escapades last Monday. It was all worth it! We're like entering a labyrinth. We enter an ukay-ukay shop and comes out from another street and ask each other like "Where are we?" or "Are we still in Baguio?" HAHA. P.S. We brought our niece in our ukay-ukay escapade -__- But we bought her something. I'll show it in my next posts!

By the way, here are some sweet finds that we got from Baguio. All lacy and classy =))
You can check out my sister-in-law's online shop here only at Ukay Corner for this collection.

By the way, we've done our shoot right after I woke up and have these photos shoot in the house where we've stayed for 4 days. HAHA :P And look who came to visit! A lacy inspired butterfly =))

Will see you in a bit! SHALOM! :D

Happy Mondays

These are sweet finds I haven't posted for a long time. I got these lovely finds from Love-PreLoved Shoppe
Anyway, I've been busy for months and now I got a chance to share these sweet finds with you :)
Their new collection is still up for grabs! So fab yet very affordable prices :)))

By the way, I'll be in Baguio again this Thursday and hope I'd get lovely finds from my Baguio's ukay escapades.

Will see you in a bit! ;) God bless and I really miss blogging :)

Featured online shop for February (The Love Month): Love PreLoved Shoppe

After a month of waiting we finally came up having a collaboration shoot with Love- PreLoved Shoppe, one of my blog's partners. :)
I had my high school friend to come over specially because she has that androgynous look that gave a spice in our shoot for Love Pre- Loved Shoppe's 12th Collection. A lot of nautical tops, skirts and jumpsuits to love!
We start shooting from 1:00 p.m. and ended almost 3:30 p.m. already. But this shoot is quite faster than the other fashion shoots that I've done probably because I'm already comfortable with the model and I guess the way she practiced her pose in front of the mirror the night before the photo shoot really worked out well. Heehee :p
Anyway, I really loved this shop since I've met it's co-owner Chris who's also a frustrated artist like me.
He has a very good taste in terms of choosing the colors and the combinations that will really make you have that classic chic vibe. These photos were shot in their apartment at Makati last February 11. 2012. ;)

I'm sure you want to purchase one of these lovely babies too!

Heehee! Here's my outfit post that I forgot to blog the other day.
My Mom said I looked like a "bumble bee". HAHA
Tied up my hair and made my Mom's braided belt as bracelet and voila!
By the way, my elder brother took these shots! I'm a proud sisturr :]
While walking inside our house I kept on telling everybody that
"I'M GOING TO SPAIN, I'M GOING TO SPAIN" XD

Just like I told you with my previous post I'm gonna blog about my new nail art. Heehee! So there, I got my nails done the other day after we finished reading some of our RRL for our thesis. She is a home service manicurist so if you would guys would like to get your nails done just tell me. HIHI. This whole nail art thing wasn't really in my plan but since it's a new year I wanted something new. :p

And before having that candy cane inspired nail art Ate did some samples on my nails but I liked it when she did the tiger prints that I called candy cane prints on my nails because of its colors :))

New colors and prints in my closet! I really don't have a permanent or own closet in our house because my room was occupied by Ate Tess already. So I'm currently using my brother's space in their closet together with our eldest. Heehee!

Polka dots, stripes, leopard and floral prints to catch on my next posts!
HAPPY NEW YEAR! =)

back to bLack

So there, this is just a quick post to tell you what I've been up to lately. My thesis partner and I were working so hard (daw) for our holiday assignments for 2 days already. (I'm supposed to be chillin' with my family somewhere else) But yea, happy times have to end "for now". HIHI
After all the task that we should accomplish by Friday we can rest na, just like that. But we're planning to go sing in Karaoke after all the reports, midterm exams and research. And that would probably be a month from now. So yea, I'm back to black again and getting nearer to my midlife twenties already. And who cares!
Young is an ATTITUDE ;p

The only thing I want to become this year 2012 is to become more mature, responsible and culture sensitive. Chos!
BAHALA NA KAYO SA BUHAY NIYO, MALALAKI NA KAYO. HAHAHA

&&&&&&&&&&

Hopefully it would not be my last outfit post for the year 2011. teehee!
This top I got from Love PreLoved Shoppe really made this look quite ironic and sexy. Off shoulders teh! First time :p
I was just fitting one of the sweet finds I got from my Aunt's package from Japan. Wore the uber long pleated skirt, as in SUPER long. HAHA. And thought of wearing the top I got from Love PreLoved Shoppe, got Anya (my cam) and asked ate Tess to take photos of me just right in front my room. (That's why you can see the doorknob) Hihi.
Just pose dramatically and voila!
Don't be afraid to mix and match. There's no secret recipe, you just have to explore and know what you really want :)

1. Bowler hat - Pre-loved from Pam Chua of http://pamlouiesechua.blogspot.com/

New babies to love!

Hola!
Last Friday morning I came back from my vacation in Davao with my Mom
(a supposed to be research span for me)
But then, I really had fun chatting and fooling around with my cousins.
Anyway, I'll be posting my Davao escapade in my next posts.
But for now I want to share my new babies I got from my Aunt's door to door package from Japan.
Hihi. I arrived at Davao on Monday and my Mom said I wouldn't get any pretty apparels from my Aunt's package because she's having a garage sale with her neighbors too.
But I didn't lose hope. HIHI.
I patiently looked for these unique pieces. And here's what I got!

3 leggings (the other one is still in the laundry. Hehe) These are really unique pieces that you'll surely love!
Then 3 socks :)) See the see through design of the socks at the top right that are next to each other? Hihi!
You won't see anything like that here in the Philippines :p

These are my gifts for my church friends/best kada! I found one piece and when I looked for another one I just didn't found two but seven pieces. 6 for my friends and 1 for me :))

1. Black sheer skirt (I don't really know how to call it but it's pleated)
2. Patterned long sleeves
3. White chiffon top (You will surely love this piece!)
4. Brown long sleeves
5. And I still have another top which is currently in the laundry right now with my leggings :pp

HOooHhooo!
How's your Christmas shopping doing? There's a lot of bazaars and sale this season!
Indeed, piggy banks will save you this season :)

That vintage feeling

Hola lolas! Just thought of sharing you one of my collections :)
Lately, I become fond of collecting collared dresses. Maybe because it makes me easier to drive my outfit into a vintage feeling. And add to that, collars makes your look witty <3
That's why one of the trend in fashion today is the detachable collar of which some of them were handmade and artistically created by young fashion enthusiasts and designers. There's a shop named Punk-X-Pretty which sells detachable collars too, turbans, remade jacket and shorts. All up for grabs at their online shop on facebook. They're on SALE now so I bet you should visit their online shop to gift yourself some lovely babies!

Red polka dot button down dress
with detachable collar

All collared dresses were bought from Lou Shoppe. A shop which I've bought variety of dresses already, specially when you are looking for vintage dresses. They have a lot of those in their online shop. And if you've read my previous blog post about my addiction with polka dots here you will spot the red button down dress with detachable collar that I received last Monday. Since Lou Shoppe is a Davao based online shop I just asked the owner which is Ms. Lorlene if they could have a meet up when I get to Davao. And there, finally I've met the very kind  and pretty online seller Ms. Lorlene and received these babies together with the pearl mask connector ring. Thank you Ms. Lorlene for dropping by! God bless your shop more and more! :)

&&&&&&&&&&

And oh, the first Christmas gift that I received this Christmas. TA-DAAN!

The person who gave this really knows what I want and love to wear :) <3

Teehee! Polka dots again. This one was gifted to me by my sister-in-law. Sweet!
Thanks Ate Kerlyn for this. Mwa mwa tsup tsup :* HAHA.
This can be worn as a dress for smaller ones, but for me. No no :p
I'll just pair it with an ossom leggings I got from my Aunt's door to door package from Japan and let's see how it goes :D

And for the readers who wants to make habol their gifts, wishlist would be:

1. Bonnet from artwork
2. Red beret
3. Scarf
4. Bow tie
5. Turban

Any of those will do. Thanks in advance! Hihi :*
I think I'm too old to do a kris kringle that's why I'm letting you guys be my secret Santa this Christmas. HIHI.
